UPCOMING EVENT - NCNA/USDA APHIS Roundtable Leadership meeting during the Cultivate '25 event in Columbus - Tuesday 15th of July.

This meeting  will be held at Greater Columbus Convention Center on Tuesday 15th of July from 9 am to 1pm. 

​

This is annual meeting where NCNA & USDA APHIS representatives discuss citrus nursery related issues and solutions. 

 

At the Cultivate ’25 NCNA/USDA-APHIS Leadership Roundtable on Tuesday, July 15 in Columbus, we’ll strategize next-steps on CNCP protocol updates, nationwide enforcement of online plant-sales compliance, research funding priorities, and collaborative tools—like unified certification labeling—to strengthen disease-free citrus nursery production.

Location: Cultivate’25 - Greater Columbus Convention Center from July 12-15

UPCOMING EVENT – ISCN - Nurserymen Congress 2025 Announcement

the ISCN Congress will be taking place in Vina Del Mar, Chile in August 2025, from 17 to the 21. Do not miss this chance to take part in this global event bringing together all stakeholders in the business related to Citrus Nurseries. You will be able to see and discuss topics such as:

  • Nursery Management

  • Irrigation and Fertigation Management

  • Pest and Disease Management

  • Industry Trends and Innovations

  • Genetics and Breeding

And many more exciting topics presented by industry experts in a truly authentic and exquisite venue by the Chilean coastline.

UPCOMING EVENT – NCNA Texas Citrus Nursery Conference & Field Tour.  October 28 – 30, 2024 | Houston & Southeast Texas

Join 70–80 citrus-nursery professionals, researchers, and regulators for three days of tours, talks, and networking:

  • Tue 28 Oct – Optional pre-tour of Dave’s Nursery (≈2 hrs from Houston IAH), followed by evening welcome reception in Houston.

  • Wed 29 Oct – Coach to Ricky’s Saxon Becnel & Son Citrus Nursery (9:30 AM–1 PM tour), boxed-lunch stop at Shangri-La Botanical Garden, and return to Houston.

  • Thu 30 Oct – Morning speaker program (8 AM–12 PM) featuring retail insights, Texas Dept. of Agriculture, USDA-APHIS updates, and an interactive survey panel; business-meeting slot available for NCNA leaders before adjournment at lunch.

The hybrid meeting includes on-site video crew and live-stream access;

APHIS Annual Citrus Sector Meeting – April 10 2025 

Held in USDA Headquarters, Washington DC (with nationwide Teams access), this three-hour round-table brought together NCNA representatives, state officials, and senior USDA-APHIS leadership to review progress on 2024 commitments—ranging from fruit-fly quarantine responses in California and Texas to enhanced audits of cold-treatment and fumigation protocols—and to discuss next-step priorities such as HLB management, market-access requests, and expanded funding for citrus-nursery research. Participants also agreed to a May follow-up session to share interception and treatment-quality data, underscoring USDA’s pledge to tighter compliance monitoring and continued industry collaboration.

CCNS, IPPS, UC-NFA CA at the Pechanga Resort Casino, California from January 23-26, 2024.

The California Citrus Nursery Society (CCNS), the Western Region, International Plant Propagators' Society IPPS and UC Nursery and Floriculture Alliance UCNFA will have a joint conference in Temecula, CA at the Pechanga Resort Casino from January 23-26, 2024. Attendees will be able to join the CCNS fun activities and welcome dinner on January 23, the CCNS conference day talks and panel at the Pechanga Resort Casino on January 24, the Grower Tour in Escondido and Temecula areas with an evening banquet at Pechanga Resort Casino featuring California Secretary of Food and Agriculture, Karen Ross on January 25, and finally the IPPS-UCNFA speaking sessions at the Pechanga Resort Casino on the January 26.

7th International Research Conference on Huanglongbing (IRCHLB) is scheduled for March 26-29, 2024, in Riverside.

The 7th International Research Conference on Huanglongbing (IRCHLB) is scheduled for March 26-29, 2024, at the Riverside Convention Center in Riverside, California. This significant event, organized by the Citrus Research Board, focuses on addressing Huanglongbing, a major citrus disease. It aims to bring together researchers, industry professionals, and other stakeholders to discuss advancements and strategies in combating this disease.
